Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an intern for the Mass Market Energy Efficiency team to support insights and research for energy efficiency programs. You will help customers understand and manage energy usage and homes’ efficiency while gaining practical experience.

Responsibilities include evaluating surveys, inbox insights, benchmarking, cross-functional collaboration, and admin tasks as assigned. Position starts May 24, 2027 with potential extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• Current student, Junior or higher.
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Psychology, Environmental Studies, Business Analytics, Sociology, or related studies.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

• Work with our customer insights team to evaluate our program surveys.
• Evaluate customer inquiry inboxes to derive insights and feedback.
• Industry benchmarking, evaluating industry research, attending and reporting on webinars.
• Work cross-functionally with project managers and customer care agents to update customer support materials based on research on insights.
• Administrative duties as assigned – accruals, SF uploads, prescriptive rebate support.
