Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an intern in the Mass Market Energy Efficiency team to support insights and research for energy efficiency programs, helping customers understand and manage energy usage and upgrade homes for greater efficiency.

Responsibilities include evaluating surveys, analyzing customer inquiries, benchmarking industry research, and updating materials with research-driven insights. Hybrid in-person work in Denver with a May 24, 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Current student, junior or higher.
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Psychology, Environmental Studies, Business Analytics, Sociology, or related studies.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) and part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) in-person per hybrid policy.

Responsibilities

• Work with our customer insights team to evaluate program surveys.
• Evaluate customer inquiry inboxes to derive insights and feedback.
• Industry benchmarking, evaluating industry research, attending and reporting on webinars.
• Work cross-functionally with project managers and customer care agents to update materials based on research.
• Administrative duties as assigned – accruals, SF uploads, prescriptive rebate support.
