Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an internship with the Mass Market Energy Efficiency team to support marketing and community engagement for residential programs, focusing on income-qualified customers. You will help manage campaigns, update collateral, and assist with outreach with community partners.

The role runs for Fall 2026 with potential extension based on performance and business needs; hybrid in-person work is required and a summer full-time schedule is available.

Qualifications

• Current student, Junior or higher.
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Leadership, Psychology, Sustainability, Sociology, Environmental Studies, or related field.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) and part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) in-person per hybrid policy.
• Preferred: at least one prior internship or job experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate marketing campaigns and events.
• Update, refresh, and create program collateral including info sheets, marketing materials, and web content.
• Lead on community outreach strategy, including coordinating with Red Truck and community partners.
• Administrative duties as assigned.
