Xcel Energy Inc. invites you to join the Mass Market Energy Efficiency team as an intern focused on insights and research to support energy efficiency programs.

You will help customers understand and manage energy usage and identify ways to upgrade homes for efficiency, collaborating with our customer insights group and cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates are current students pursuing relevant degrees, able to work full-time in summer and part-time during the school year, and willing to

Qualifications

• Current student, Junior or higher
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Psychology, Environmental Studies, Business Analytics, Sociology, or related studies
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

• Work with our customer insights team to evaluate our program surveys
• Evaluate customer inquiry inboxes to derive insights and feedback
• Industry benchmarking, evaluating industry research, attending and reporting on webinars
• Work cross-functionally with project managers and customer care agents to update customer support materials based on research on insights
• Administrative duties as assigned – accruals, SF uploads, prescriptive rebate support
