Job summary

Tri-State Energy, based in New Jersey, seeks an energetic Outside Sales Representative to drive energy efficiency programs in Woodbridge and the Tri-State area. You will engage customers, contractors, and industry leaders to articulate value and build relationships.

Responsibilities include presenting tailored proposals, managing a CRM-driven pipeline, and traveling within the region as needed. The role requires excellent communication, self-motivation, and a passion for sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in sustainability, business, marketing, engineering or related field.
• 3+ years outside sales experience in energy efficiency or related industry.
• Residence in New Jersey required and valid US driver's license.
• Proficient with CRM, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Demonstrated interest in energy conservation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Implement a pre-established sales strategy to promote the company brand and message.
• Research and target potential clients for energy efficiency solutions.
• Initiate contact through calls, emails, and networking events.
• Explain energy savings benefits, incentives, and on-bill repayment options.
• Build long-term relationships and drive repeat business.
• Prepare tailored proposals meeting client needs.
• Stay updated on energy efficiency tech and incentives.
• Educate clients on new energy-saving opportunities.
• Track sales activity and results for management.
• Use CRM to manage customer info and pipeline.
• Represent the company at industry events to generate leads.
