Job summary

HomeWorks Energy, Inc. is seeking a Home Energy Specialist to perform Mass Save home energy assessments and model homes with energy-efficiency software. You will diagnose energy usage and recommend improvements such as insulation and efficient HVAC systems.

The role emphasizes field-based work, strong customer service, and the ability to close sales while educating homeowners on benefits and options. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth in a fast-paced company.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Valid MA driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel required.
• BPI Certification a plus.
• Previous customer service and sales experience preferred.
• Mass Save program knowledge a plus.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong organization and time management skills.
• Must work independently as the role is primarily field based.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
• Outgoing, flexible, and personable demeanor. Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Mass Save home energy assessments.
• Model homes with energy efficiency software and generate energy savings reports.
• Recommend energy-saving measures such as insulation and high-efficiency HVAC systems.
• Initiate sale and secure service contracts.
• Provide exceptional customer service and educate homeowners on energy efficiency benefits.
• Use effective sales techniques to ensure customer satisfaction and generate referrals.
• Organize and guide customers through paperwork processes.
• Install energy-saving products during assessments and complete paperwork accurately.
• Collaborate with internal divisions to cross-sell products and services.
