Job summary

Franklin Energy in Columbia, SC is seeking an Energy Auditor I to provide on-site energy assessments for small businesses and utility customers. You will advise on modifications to electric and gas systems, walk through properties, and promote participation in rebate programs with strong customer service.

You will install energy-saving devices, document findings, and collaborate with engineers as needed while maintaining professional standards and supporting continuous improvement across

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• Residential building construction and/or HVAC experience preferred.
• BPI Fundamentals or above required.
• 1–2 years in marketing, community organizing, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote energy efficiency programs via scheduled assessments.
• Provide energy efficiency advice to building owners and tenants.
• Perform walk-through energy assessments and identify savings opportunities.
• Install energy-saving devices like LED lighting and programmable thermostats.
• Explain energy assessment findings and rebates to customers.
• Enter data into spreadsheets/databases to track energy savings and projects.
