Job summary

Cascade Energy in Salt Lake City, Utah, seeks an Engineer I to assess client operations, identify energy efficiency opportunities, and develop optimization models for industrial systems. You will gather data, write feasibility reports, and support project management.

This full-time, exempt role involves occasional site visits, collaboration with peers, and a focus on delivering measurable energy savings while contributing to quality control and client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 0–2 yrs of engineering experience.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air, steam systems, system modeling, electrical distribution, data-logging.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned projects with project management, direction, and accountability.
• Calculate energy savings using approved tools and methodologies.
• Engage with industrial clients to understand operations and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Communicate technical findings clearly and assist with reports and performance documentation.
• Contribute to technical discussions, peer reviews, and basic utility program compliance.
