Job summary

JLL is seeking an Energy Efficiency Engineer to support a major technology client in Mountain View, CA. The role focuses on high-performance building design, commissioning, and operations to advance energy reduction and decarbonization initiatives.

You will lead energy audits, develop IPMVP-based measurement and verification, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating across multiple departments and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency engineering.
• Experience with energy audits, energy efficiency projects, and energy data analysis.
• Strong understanding of energy efficiency best practices and technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of building automation and control systems.
• Experience with utility rebate and demand response programs.
• Familiarity with energy procurement and renewable options.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for high performance building design, commissioning, and operations.
• Develop programs to assist with energy reduction goals.
• Coordinate ASHRAE LEVEL 1 and 2 on-site audits.
• Develop procedures for energy calculation and IPMVP M&V protocols.
• Optimize mechanical systems and building operations across campus portfolio.
• Mentor Energy Engineers in commissioning and calculation skills.
• Manage energy efficiency programs and report on results.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other departments to embed energy efficiency in operations.
• Manage vendor relationships and project budgets.
