Job summary

Cadmus is seeking an analytical, collaborative researcher to apply advanced analytics for utility and government clients. You will design studies, analyze data, and present results to diverse audiences, helping shape DSM programs and energy policy.

The role emphasizes mentorship, client relations, and growth within a supportive team environment. The position requires 6–10 years of applicable experience, strong data skills, and experience with R, Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.

Qualifications

  • MA/MS in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related quantitative field with 6–8 years of relevant experience, or BA/BS with 8–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with data transformation and statistical software programming in R, Python, or Stata.
  • Experience deploying interactive web apps and data visualizations with the use of R-Shiny (or Flask, DASH, Power BI, or Streamlit).
  • Experience with databases and SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience with inferential statistics, sampling and research design, statistical analysis, and regression analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Desire to grow professionally and take on challenging work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Familiarity with or work experience in the energy sector and/or utility industry.
  • Applied research design experience in a professional setting (e.g., consulting).

Responsibilities

  • Lead research design, data collection, data analysis, modeling tool development, and reporting tasks for client engagements.
  • Apply statistical and econometric methods, synthesize results, and identify actionable conclusions and recommendations.
  • Communicate methods, findings, data sources, and analyses in reports, presentations, dashboards, and visualizations for diverse audiences.
  • Manage consulting projects, including collaboration with team members and clients to achieve goals.
  • Provide mentorship and technical support to junior staff.
  • Develop client relationships through proactive, clear communication on project activity and status.
  • Identify and develop business development opportunities; support or lead proposals.
