Job summary

Weaver is seeking an Energy Compliance Services Associate to join our growing ECS team. The role focuses on researching regulations, completing attestation and consulting engagements, and performing compliance assessments under supervision.

The ideal candidate has a CPA/CIA candidate status or strong accounting foundation, with 0–2+ years in audits/advisory or public accounting, and a solid grasp of accounting principles. Houston-based position with a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CIA candidate
• 0 - 2+ years experience in Audit/Assurance, Advisory, or public accounting experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic working environment

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of technical laws and regulations related to the Energy Compliance Services practice.
• Complete attestation and consulting engagements and perform compliance assessments.
• Prepare work papers and research regulations; manage multiple assignments under supervision.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of engagements.
