Abbott in Columbus, Ohio seeks a Trainee to learn Energy Center operation and maintenance at the Columbus Plant Energy Center (Powerhouse). You will train in industrial maintenance and boiler operation, including on-the-job training with licensed operators, while studying GMP and SOPs.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and hands-on development toward obtaining the Ohio SSE license and advancing within a large healthcare manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two-year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Excellent math, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot analytically and multitask in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have Stationary Steam Engineer license in Ohio; willingness to learn complex processes.

Responsabilités

• Learn Energy Center processes, operation and maintenance.
• Attend classroom training for industrial maintenance and boiler operation.
• Complete on-the-job training at Columbus Plant Energy Center with licensed operators.
• Operate equipment safely, report accidents and follow GMP/OSHA policies.
• Utilize Maximo CMMS to write and execute work orders and document labor hours.
