Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC seeks a seasoned Project Development Manager to lead site selection and development for data center load and flexible generation projects in the United States. You will oversee budgets, schedules, permitting, and stakeholder engagement to accelerate interconnection and investment decisions.

The role requires 5+ years in large infrastructure development, strong negotiation skills, and fluency with project tools like Salesforce and ArcGIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, business, economics, or related field; Master’s degree a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in development of large infrastructure projects, ideally natural gas, renewables, data centers.
• Experience negotiating land rights and managing real estate agreements.
• Strong understanding of interconnection, land, gas, utilities and permitting requirements.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and make investment recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead site selection for data center and flexible generation projects from concept to FID.
• Develop capital budgets and development schedules for portfolios.
• Coordinate with consultants on environmental studies, engineering, and permitting.
• Represent RWE with transmission providers and permitting bodies.
• Mentor project associates and communicate progress to senior leadership.
• Monitor policy changes and adapt development strategies.
