Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is expanding its Business Development team in the United States to originate and develop energy campus projects for data center customers. You will lead commercial negotiations, build strategic relationships, and work across internal teams to accelerate interconnection and deployment of flexible generation assets.

The role requires 5+ years in the U.S. power sector, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and proven ability to create opportunities with utilities, hyperscalers, and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (business, economics, engineering, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years experience in the U.S. electric power sector or related field.
• Experience with leading U.S. utility, IPP, hyperscaler/co-lo/neocloud, or data center developer.
• Demonstrated achievement in leveraging relationships to create new opportunities.
• Commercial negotiations experience preferred.
• Experience at the intersection of electric power and data center demand is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and build relationships across energy and data center ecosystem for FlexGen objectives.
• Manage commercial progress of FlexGen Energy Campus opportunities from conception to term sheet and negotiations.
• Research market intelligence from public sources and direct relationships for development activities.
• Maintain relationships with utilities, co-ops, munis to gain early insights on dispatchable generation needs.
• Increase visibility of RWE FlexGen and energy campus capabilities through outreach, conferences, and networking.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to shape energy campus and standalone gas opportunities.
