Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is expanding its Business Development team to serve large load customers in the United States. The role focuses on originating and developing sites for data center load customers, combining gas-fired generation with solar, wind, and storage assets, and accelerating interconnection and power delivery.

The candidate will build relationships, manage negotiations through term sheets, and gather market intelligence to drive opportunities in the energy campus portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline such as business administration, economics, or engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in the U.S. electric power sector or related field.
• Experience with a leading U.S. utility, IPP, hyperscaler/co-lo/neocloud, or data center developer preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to create new business opportunities through relationships.
• Strong written communications and ability to navigate complex commercial arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Create and build relationships across energy and data center ecosystems for RWE FlexGen.
• Manage commercial progress of FlexGen Energy Campus opportunities from conception to term sheet and negotiations.
• Research market intelligence to inform development activities.
• Maintain relationships with utilities, co-ops, munis and load-serving entities for insights.
• Increase visibility of RWE FlexGen capabilities through outreach and networking.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to shape energy campus opportunities.
