Job summary

Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County is seeking an Energy Assistance Program (EAP) Intake & Referral Specialist to deliver excellent customer service to applicants in-person and by phone. You will guide applicants through the EAP application, assist with energy emergency situations, and connect them with needed resources.

The role requires strong communication, tech-savvy support for office systems, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for diverse backgrounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Problem-solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound/outbound calls to explain the EAP program.
• Conduct phone interviews to assess eligibility and provide referrals.
• Maintain knowledge of EAP information management systems and phone systems.
• Assist applicants in completing their EAP applications in person or by phone.
