Job summary

Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County in Minneapolis, Minnesota seeks an Intake & Referral Specialist for the Energy Assistance Program (EAP). You will handle in-person and phone interactions, assist applicants with EAP applications, and connect them to CAP-HC resources.

This role requires strong communication, data entry accuracy, and the ability to work independently or with a team. The position is full-time and seasonal with a daytime schedule at three locations (Brooklyn Park,

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills enabling relationships with a diverse population.
• Fluent English in verbal and written communication.
• Comfort with using technology, multiline phone systems, and computers to boost productivity.

Responsibilities

• Educate callers about the Energy Assistance Program (EAP).
• Conduct phone interviews to determine eligibility and reference community resources.
• Maintain knowledge of EAP information management and telephone systems.
• Meet with applicants in person to review application status and assist with completion.
• Act as liaison between applicants and EAP Eligibility Specialists.
• Enter data accurately and maintain program records.
