Job summary

Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County in Brooklyn Park, MN, seeks an Intake & Referral Specialist for the Energy Assistance Program (EAP). You will assist applicants in person or by phone, help them with applications, and guide them through energy emergency situations.

The role requires strong communication, computer skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Hourly pay ranges from $18 to $21, with benefits and potential hybrid scheduling after ninety days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication in English.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Call center experience preferred.
• College or post-secondary education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate callers about the Energy Assistance Program (EAP) and conduct interviews to determine eligibility.
• Provide information about application status and assist with completing applications.
• Serve as liaison between applicants and EAP Eligibility Specialists.
• Enter data and maintain records in program systems.
• Refer EAP applicants to other CAP-HC programs.
• Respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
