Job summary

Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County (CAP-HC) seeks an Intake & Referral Specialist for the Energy Assistance Program. You will assist applicants via in-person and telephone, help with EAP applications, and guide energy emergency responses.

You will handle calls, interviews, and referrals while using EAP information systems; join CAP-HC meetings and training; and support CAP-HC’s mission to serve Hennepin County residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent English; ability to engage diverse community.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls educating callers about the EAP program.
• Conduct phone interviews to determine eligibility and refer to resources.
• Maintain knowledge of EAP information systems and phone systems.
• Assist applicants in person with application status and completion.
• Coordinate between applicants and EAP Eligibility Specialists.
• Data entry and record keeping in program data systems.
• Respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Refer applicants to CAP-HC programs.
• Attend CAP-HC meetings, activities, and training.
