Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Energy Analyst to support energy efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonization goals within the High-Performance Buildings Services Group in Portland, Oregon. You will develop and analyze energy models, evaluate building performance data, and propose strategies to reduce energy use and carbon emissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or another related technical field.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, sustainable building design, and decarbonized energy systems.
• Strong problem-solving, quantitative and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze building energy models for new construction, existing buildings, and renovation projects to evaluate energy performance and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Analyze utility consumption, building trend data, energy systems, and operational information to identify energy-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate MEP systems and sustainable design strategies to support energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization goals.
• Support energy audits, retro-commissioning, commissioning, and building optimization services including data collection and documentation.
• Perform technical analyses to support net-zero energy and carbon neutrality planning efforts.
• Support energy code and standards analyses (ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, California Title 24, etc.).
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, and presentations communicating findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, building owners, and other stakeholders to meet project schedules and quality expectations.
