Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Elk River, MN is seeking an energetic energetics engineer at levels 2/3 to support LAP manufacturing activities. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, lead process improvements, and develop assembly instructions for new programs.

The role focuses on equipment support, project leadership from start to finish, and providing direction to technicians on first shift on a 4/10 schedule in a defense manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Level 2: Bachelors in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical or related Engineering + 2+ years manufacturing experience; or Masters + 0 years
• Level 3: Bachelors in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical or related Engineering + 5 years experience; or Masters + 3 years
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required)
• Demonstrated experience in manufacturing and production of mechanical components and/or automated systems
• Troubleshooting and investigation of equipment and process failures

Responsibilities

• Act as a project manager to coordinate internal functional disciplines including Program Personnel, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Test and LAP Technicians
• Act as a liaison engineer interface between onsite Manufacturing activities and offsite Development / Product Engineering teams
• Development and release of assembly work instructions based on Program design requests
• Ensuring incoming work requests are complete, accurate and consistent
• Budget monitoring and trend tracking
