Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking an Energetics Manufacturing Engineer (Level 2 or 3) at Elkton, Maryland. You will support operations to meet quality, delivery and cost targets, establish Lean processes, and set up manufacturing lines for new products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 2+ years of experience (level 2) or a Master’s with 0+ years.
• Level 3 requires 5+ years of experience or a Master’s with 3+ years.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing support to meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
• Create, maintain and improve Process Control Documentation.
• Establish manufacturing lines for new products and product upgrades.
• Establish Lean process flow; perform capacity studies/analysis; digital modeling.
• Define facility and equipment needs; work with facilities engineering for cost benefit.
• Establish equipment specifications; coordinate vendor run-off and installation.
• Establish TPM requirements; provide start-up training to operations.
• Establish required procedures; provide training to maintenance personnel.
• Conduct continuous improvement: Lean, 5-S, Process FMEA, value stream maps.
• Generate process maps, time studies; monitor labor costs and drive cost reductions.
• Establish Key Characteristics and monitor/control them; develop SPC program.
• Assist in tooling design and testing; additive manufacturing where practical.
