Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Energetics Engineer (Level 2 or 3) for the Elk River, MN site. Join the Manufacturing LAP team to support production activities, equipment issues, and capital projects.

This role emphasizes process improvements, work instruction creation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will hold an engineering degree with related manufacturing experience, and be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing/Electrical or related field plus 2+ years of manufacturing experience (Level 2); or Master’s with fewer years.
• Level 3 requires 5 years with manufacturing of mechanical devices, systems and automation; MS with 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal disciplines (Program Personnel, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Test, LAP Technicians).
• Lead meetings to communicate manufacturing issues and requirements.
• Develop and release assembly work instructions from design requests.
• Monitor budget and track trends; identify equipment/process improvements.
