Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Elk River, MN is seeking an energetic Energetics Engineer level 2 or 3 to join the LAP team supporting production of ammunition and warhead components. The role focuses on equipment support, capital project implementation, and process improvements on a 1st shift, 4/10 schedule.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, can create work instructions, troubleshoot equipment, and lead projects from start to finish while guiding technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing or related field with 2+ years manufacturing experience.
• Level 3: 5 years in manufacturing of mechanical devices, or Master’s with 3 years.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Experience manufacturing mechanical components and automated systems.
• Capable of leading projects and directing technicians.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-functional program teams including engineering, supply chain, and quality.
• Lead on-site liaison between manufacturing and development/product engineering teams.
• Develop and release assembly work instructions.
• Ensure incoming work requests are complete and accurate.
• Monitor budgets and trends; identify process improvements.
