The Optimist - Atlanta is seeking a energetic and precise Sous Chef to manage hourly back-of-house staff and assist in day-to-day kitchen operations, including production, prep, events, and purchasing. You will help ensure timely and beautifully presented dishes, while supporting a cohesive team culture.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of culinary experience, including leadership roles, and can lead in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive culinary experience, including a Lead Cook or Sous Chef role.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage back-of-house staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, production, prep, events, stewarding, purchasing and receiving.
• Lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef and maintain a cohesive team under pressure.
