Job summary

Matchbox is seeking a Food Runner to ensure guests receive dishes promptly with a friendly, attentive touch. Deliver meals to tables and assist servers, keeping an energetic pace in a bustling dining room.

You will learn menu items, liaise with kitchen staff, maintain a clean workstation, and uphold the Matchbox guest experience. This role requires 18+ and the ability to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to communicate effectively in the primary language of the work.
• Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and holidays.
• Ability to learn menu items and service procedures.
• Ability to take direction and to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Exude energy and enthusiasm as you deliver food orders to guests, ensuring prompt and accurate service.
• Collaborate with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth flow of food delivery and guest experience.
• Provide attentive and friendly service, going above and beyond to exceed guest expectations.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and dining area.
• Be knowledgeable about menu offerings and ingredients, able to answer inquiries and make recommendations.
• Act as a brand ambassador, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
