Job summary

Matchbox is seeking a Food Runner to ensure guests receive dishes promptly with a friendly, attentive touch. Deliver meals to tables and assist servers, keeping an energetic pace in a bustling dining room.

You will learn menu items, liaise with kitchen staff, maintain a clean workstation, and uphold the Matchbox guest experience. This role requires 18+ and the ability to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per shift)


• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40–50 lbs (e.g., trays, dish racks, furniture)


• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and twisting


• Manual dexterity to handle dishes, glassware, and cleaning tools safely


• Ability to work in a hot, wet, and noisy environment (kitchen and dining areas)


• Ability to navigate crowded spaces while carrying items safely


• Visual and auditory ability to identify spills, hazards, and guest needs
