Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University is seeking an Endpoint Management Specialist/IT System Administrator II to manage desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, and to implement secure baseline configurations and images. You will apply patches, address vulnerabilities, and coordinate with Enterprise Endpoint Management and ITS staff to ensure secure, high-performance endpoints across campus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with two (2) years' experience in endpoint management and technology support roles, with primary responsibility for management and security of enterprise endpoints including experience with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, GPOs, MECM, Intune, JAMF PRO, and VMware Horizon, or similar applications.
Additional experience equivalent to the degree requirements is acceptable.
Experience managing virtual desktops in a VMware Horizon environment, including knowledge of VMware vSphere.
Significant technical knowledge of enterprise device management and desktop security.
Ability to create and follow complex technical policies, procedures and guidelines.
Ability to apply in-depth technical knowledge and troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues.
Knowledge of technologies and standards to meet ADA compliance for special needs, including experience in deploying and supporting assistive technologies in classrooms, computer labs, offices, and other spaces.
Demonstrated strong customer service orientation, and experience in partnering with other units and fostering a team spirit within the department.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to work independently when performing tasks with minimal supervision, while maintaining appropriate levels of communication.
An advanced degree related to the duties and responsibilities of the position.
A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of advanced degree requirements
