Job summary

Excellus BCBS is offering a paid 10-week Summer College Internship Program in New York. Interns will work up to 40 hours per week, mentored by managers, and participate in development workshops across IT disciplines.

Projects focus on endpoint management, software deployment, patching, and security. Housing is not provided, and interns gain hands-on enterprise experience with MECM/SCCM and Intune.

Qualifications

• Majors in Computing Sciences & IT or similar program.
• PowerShell scripting experience preferred.
• Interest in endpoint management and systems administration.
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Strong organizational, analytical and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist End User Computing team with deployment and device management.
• Help create, test and troubleshoot software packages (MSI/MSIX/EXE).
• Support MECM/SCCM deployments and lifecycle management.
• Assist with patch and vulnerability management activities.
• Gain exposure to Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint practices.
• Contribute to projects improving security and deployment efficiency.
• Present results at internship completion.
