Job summary

Excellus BCBS offers a 10‑week paid Summer College Internship program in Utica, NY. Interns work on meaningful projects across IT and business tracks, mentored by managers, and participate in development workshops to bridge school to corporate life.

Interns gain hands‑on experience with software packaging, deployment, and modern device management, including MECM/SCCM and Intune, while contributing to security and deployment initiatives.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a full‑time undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• High School diploma with proof of continuous college enrollment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Interest in endpoint management, systems administration, software deployment technologies, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of enterprise software and devices.
• Assist with creating, testing, troubleshooting, and deploying software packages (MSI/MSIX/EXE) and installers.
• Gain experience with MECM/SCCM: device collections, content distribution, deployment monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Assist with patching and vulnerability management, OS updates, and third‑party patches.
• Explore Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management practices and co‑management initiatives.
