Job summary

The University of Central Florida invites applications for the Miller Technology Endowed Chair in Financial Systems, a 9-month tenured professor position on the UCF Main Campus in Orlando with a start date in Fall 2027.

The chair will shape the intellectual direction of technology-focused initiatives, contribute to STLI, and build industry collaborations to advance research and education at the intersection of technology and business.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in business, finance, accounting, economics, information systems, computer science, engineering, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited or equivalent institution.
• A record of scholarly achievement sufficient for tenure at the rank of professor.
• Active and sustained research agenda with publications in leading peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate level.

Responsibilities

• Serve as intellectual architect for the College’s Financial Systems initiative, building collaborations among faculty, industry, and government.
• Translate scholarly expertise into organizational practice through partnerships, executive education, or other impact mechanisms.
• Conduct high-impact research on how emerging technologies transform financial systems, markets, and institutions.
• Contribute to development of new academic programs, executive education, and industry partnerships.
