Job summary

The University of Central Florida invites applications for the Miller Technology Endowed Chair in Intelligent Work Systems. This nine-month tenured professorship sits on the UCF Main Campus with a Fall 2027 start.

The candidate will drive organizational design at the intersection of technology and business, shape education and executive programs, and lead interdisciplinary collaborations to advance research and practice in human-AI collaboration and work systems.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in business, economics, information systems, engineering, computer science, psychology, or closely related field from AACSB-accredited institution.
• Record of scholarly achievement sufficient for tenure at Full Professor in College of Business.
• Demonstrated impact in research on organizational design, leadership, or technology-enabled work systems.
• Active and sustained research agenda with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate level.

Responsibilities

• Serve as intellectual architect for the college's Intelligent Work Systems initiative, building collaborations among faculty, industry, and government.
• Translate scholarly expertise into organizational practice through industry partnerships, executive education, or other mechanisms delivering measurable impact.
• Conduct high-impact research on how organizations design and manage interaction between people, technology, and decision systems.
• Contribute to development of new academic programs and executive offerings aligned with the College's technology focus.
