Job summary

The Miller Technology Endowed Chair in Intelligent Work Systems at the University of Central Florida is a 9-month tenured professorship located on the UCF Main Campus in Orlando, starting Fall 2027.

The role advances research on organizational design, human–AI collaboration, and technology-enabled work systems, and shapes STLI and college initiatives through industry partnerships and executive education.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a related field from AACSB-accredited (or equivalent) institution.
• Record of scholarly achievement qualifying for tenure as Full Professor.
• Active research agenda with publications in leading peer‑reviewed journals.
• Experience teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate level.
• Demonstrated impact in research related to organizational design or technology-enabled work systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as intellectual architect for the college’s Intelligent Work Systems initiative.
• Translate scholarly expertise into organizational practice through partnerships, executive education, or policy influence.
• Conduct high-impact research on how organizations design and manage human–technology interactions.
• Contribute to development of new academic programs and executive offerings aligned with technology focus.
