Job summary

The Miller Technology Endowed Chair in Financial Systems at the University of Central Florida seeks a distinguished scholar to lead research on how AI, digital platforms, blockchain, and analytics transform financial systems and institutions.

The candidate will advance collaborations across academia, industry, and government, contribute to executive education, and shape technology-driven business education at UCF.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in business, finance, accounting, economics, information systems, computer science, engineering or closely related field from AACSB-accredited (or equivalent) institution.
• Record of scholarly achievement sufficient to qualify for appointment with tenure at professor rank.
• Active and sustained research agenda with publications in leading peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate level.

Responsibilities

• Serve as intellectual architect for the College’s Financial Systems initiative and build collaborations with faculty, industry, and government.
• Translate scholarly expertise into organizational practice through partnerships, executive education, or policy impact.
• Conduct high-impact research on how emerging technologies transform financial systems, markets, and institutions.
• Develop academic programs, executive education offerings, and industry partnerships aligned with the College’s technology focus.
