Job summary

University of Rochester is seeking an experienced operator to serve as the Endoscopy Unit's central communications and workflow resource. You will manage patient flow, schedules, room use, and readiness while supporting physicians, anesthesia teams, nursing staff, and ancillary departments.

Focused on efficient patient throughput and high-quality care, you will coordinate real-time scheduling, equipment availability, and documentation across the Endoscopy Unit, with emphasis on uptime and safety.

Responsibilities

• Act as operational specialist and central communication hub for the Endoscopy Unit.
• Coordinate daily procedures: patient flow, provider schedules, room utilization, and readiness.
• Support physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments.
• Anticipate workflow disruptions and communicate changes to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Maintain Epic, EndoSoft, QGenda, and patient tracking systems.
• Guide staff on workflow processes and assist with onboarding.
