Job summary

SCA Health is hiring an Endoscopy Technician to support endoscopic procedures at our New York location. The role involves assisting during endoscopy, maintaining sterile equipment, and ensuring patient safety while upholding our values and standards.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care, process specimens, and participate in post-procedure cleaning and room turnover. Prior GI tech experience is preferred and a BCLS certification is required within 90 days of

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Prior Experience as a GI Tech preferred.
• Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Function as an assistive person during endoscopy procedures.
• Protect the patient from injury and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Handle specimens according to facility policy and procedures.
• Maintain endoscopy instruments and accessories in working order.
• Provide hand-off report to teammates with accurate, concise information.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning and room preparation for subsequent patients.
• Participate in quality review and performance improvement projects.

Education
