Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in Long Island's eastern region seeks an Endoscopic Technician to join our NSG-Endoscopy team. This full-time day shift supports sterile processing, prepares rooms, and assists with intra-op procedures under RN supervision.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, valid BLS, 1–2 years as Nursing Assistant or Endoscopy Tech, and strong communication and problem-solving skills; certification within 6 months (CRCST/CER/CFER) is required.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1–2 years Nursing Assistant/Endoscopy Technician experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Basic computer skills; CRCST/CER/CFER within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Sets up procedure rooms in an organized and timely manner with supplies and equipment.
• Maintains a clean, safe and therapeutic environment following safety standards.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the RN and assists in patient care.
• Provides direct patient care under physician orders and Endoscopy scope.
• Participates in room turnover and prepares equipment for next cases.
• Transports patients safely and maintains infection control practices.
• Adheres to reprocessing standards and documents procedures.
• Maintains inventory and ensures required accessories are available.
