Northwell Career Site is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to assist physicians during endoscopic procedures and ensure a safe, efficient environment. You will care for instruments, prepare rooms, verify patient details, and anticipate the needs of the Endoscopist during procedures.

The role requires at least 1 year of healthcare experience, high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification, with proficiency in Windows and Olympus Image Manager. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare experience.
• Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Word, and Olympus Image Manager.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work under pressure.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with endoscopic procedures using universal precautions and records patient data during procedures.
• Prepares room, endoscope, and supplies; verifies patient name and procedure type.
• Maintains equipment and reports malfunctions; cleans and tests equipment.
• Enters patient data into Image Manager system as trained.
• Stocking and maintaining supplies in procedure rooms daily.
• Performs secretarial duties and transporter duties as needed.
