Job summary

Greater New York Endoscopy Surgical Center in Brooklyn is seeking a Full-Time Endoscopy Technician to support GI procedures, maintain equipment, and ensure patient safety.

You will prep patients, sterilize instruments, document procedures, and coordinate with the healthcare team in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and competent infection-control practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician training program or equivalent clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and standard infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize endoscopic equipment and instruments according to established protocols to ensure patient safety and infection control.
• Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by handling instruments, monitoring equipment, and providing necessary support.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them appropriately, and monitoring vital signs as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures, equipment maintenance, and patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure efficient scheduling, room setup, and post-procedure care.
