NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking an Operating Room Technician to join our team. Under RN supervision, you will prepare instruments, maintain aseptic technique, and support the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include circulating during procedures, adhering to safety standards, and participating in unit quality improvement. 1–2 years OR experience preferred; BLS required; High School diploma or equivalent.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification exam must be taken and passed within 12 months of program completion.
• Current and valid BLS through AHA.
• 1–2 years of operating room experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Assist surgical team by providing instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic technique.
• Circulate, gather instruments, and prepare equipment during procedures.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor patient status and report to the RN as required.
• Participate in unit-based QA and staff education.
• Document procedures clearly and maintain communication with the team.
