Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support GI procedures such as colonoscopies and EGDs in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

You will assist with patient positioning, equipment handling, and scope reprocessing while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Collaboration with GI providers, nurses, and the care team is essential to maintain high-quality care and efficient procedural flow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist GI providers during colonoscopy and EGD procedures, including patient positioning and equipment management.
• Perform endoscopic scope cleaning and reprocessing according to Infection Control protocols.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures; communicate observations to the RN and provider.
• Prepare and maintain procedural equipment, supplies, and instruments in a sterile, organized manner.
• Support patient care activities including vital sign monitoring, patient education, and post-procedure comfort measures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with patient flow management in the endoscopy department.
