Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a dedicated endoscopy support staff member to assist the provider under RN supervision. The role involves implementing nursing care functions within all aspects of endoscopy, observing patients, and communicating pertinent data to the RN.

You will perform technical patient care services as directed by nursing leadership and a charge RN. This full-time day shift position requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an Accredited (CAAHEP/ABHES) Medical Assistant Program, Surgical Technician, Emergency Medical Tech training preferred.
• Familiarity with endoscopy equipment or scope/instrument reprocessing preferred.
• Minimum two years health care exposure in a similar clinic setting preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care functions within all aspects of Endoscopy under supervision.
• Observe the patient and communicate pertinent data to the RN.
• Perform technical patient care services under supervision of nursing leadership and the Charge RN.
