Job summary

HCA Healthcare seeks an Endoscopy Tech to assist in GI/Endoscopy procedures under the direction of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse. You will help prepare the unit, maintain a sterile environment, and support the care of patients undergoing GI procedures.

Responsibilities include rotating to other ambulatory centers, high‑level disinfection of equipment, preparing rooms and equipment, and handling specimens with the surgeon and circulating RN.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
• One year of acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Valid BCLS certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Rotate to other ambulatory surgery center facilities.
• Maintain a sanitary environment for patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of high‑level disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment.
• Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies.
• Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case.
• Assist in the maintenance, care, and labeling of specimens.
• Identify specimens with the surgeon and pass them to the circulating RN.
