Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Bay Area Surgicare Center in Webster, TX is seeking an Endoscopy Tech to assist with GI/Endoscopy procedures. Under the GI/Endoscopy Nurse, you will help maintain a sterile environment, prep the unit and assist in specimen handling, contributing to safe and efficient patient care.

You will work in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery setting, supporting the surgical team with high disinfection standards and readiness for each case.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
• One-year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sanitary environment for your patient
• Demonstrate knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment
• Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies
• Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case
• Assist in the maintenance, care and labeling of specimens
• Identify specimen with the surgeon and pass to the circulating RN
