Job summary

Hackensack Endoscopy Center is seeking a full-time Endoscopy Tech to join our medical team. The role involves assisting during GI procedures, preparing rooms and equipment, and supporting physicians and nurses.

You will sterilize equipment, handle specimens, document procedures, and help ensure infection control standards are met. The ideal candidate has GI/endoscopy experience and a valid BLS certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Endoscopy Tech required.
• Experience working in GI/Endoscopy procedures required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Physician Procedure Assistance-Technical skill during procedures to anticipate the physician’s needs and have supplies and equipment at hand.
• Room Set-up and Cleaning-Set up and care of scopes, room, procedure computers, and other procedure equipment.
• Care and Cleaning of Scopes-Care of scopes to ensure they are not damaged during procedures or cleaning.
• Medical Record documentation and specimen handling-Documentation in the medical record of procedure performed and specimens retrieved.
