Job summary

Ridgeline Surgicenter, under HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Endoscopy Tech to assist with GI/Endoscopy procedures and patient care. You will work under the direction of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse to support the patient experience and clinical workflow.

Responsibilities include maintaining a sanitary environment, ensuring proper disinfection of endoscopy equipment, preparing the unit and rooms, and assisting with specimens and coordination with the surgeon and circulating RN.

Qualifications

• One-year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sanitary environment for your patient.
• Demonstrate knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment.
• Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies.
• Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case.
• Assist in the maintenance, care and labeling of specimens.
• Identify specimen with the surgeon and pass to the circulating RN.
