Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Endoscopy Technician I to support GI providers under RN/physician direction. You will assist with endoscopy procedures, prepare the room, and handle turnover, including cleaning and processing endoscopes and equipment.

You will maintain supplies, monitor inventory, and ensure devices are in good working condition while collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care before, during, and after procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• Previous endoscopy or direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room, equipment and supplies to accommodate planned procedures.
• Supports the physician with diagnostic or therapeutic endoscopy procedures and observes potential complications.
• Maintains an orderly work environment and restocks/cleans rooms; documents on checklists.
