Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to support the Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This PRN Days position involves 40 hours per week with required call and competitive call differentials.

The role includes assisting during procedures, maintaining sterile environments, and passing instruments to surgeons while prioritizing patient safety and teamwork throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technologist program (CAAHEP/ABHES).
• Certification as CST preferred (NBSTSA/NCCT) but not required.
• High School Diploma and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and prepare accordingly.
• Disposer of specimens and instruments correctly.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and ensure patient safety.
