Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Center South. This is a full-time days position, 40 hours per week, with a 7:00am to 5:30pm schedule and one set day off.

Call is required and eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $10,000. As part of the Endoscopy unit, you will assist during procedures, maintain sterile fields, pass instruments, and support patient safety.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist experience.
• Less than 1 year Endoscopy Technologist experience.
• High School Diploma and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments
• Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
• Call is required for this position.

Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Center South. This is a Full-time Days position, 40 hours per week Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:30pm with one set day off. This position requires call and qualifies for competitive call differentials.

As a surgical technologist in this role, you will work as part of the surgical services teams in the Endoscopy unit. The individual will assist the team during procedures, ensure a sterile environment, hand instruments to surgeons during procedures, and maintain patient safety. Throughout the day, precision, attention to detail, and teamwork are paramount in providing quality patient care.

As a Surgical Technologist for the Endoscopy unit, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:
