Job summary

Baptist Health seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This PRN Days position requires 40 hours per week and call differentiators.

You will assist during procedures, maintain a sterile field and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced surgical setting. Responsibilities include prepping instruments, anticipating surgeon needs, and coordinating with the team to minimize anesthesia time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program preferred NBSTA or NCCT, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures in the Endoscopy unit.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case; prepare accordingly.
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments between cases.
• Work with the entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Call is required for this position.

Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a PRN Days position, 40 hours per week. This position requires call and qualifies for competitive call differentials. As a surgical technologist in this role, you will work as part of the surgical services teams in the Endoscopy unit. The individual will assist the team during procedures, ensure a sterile environment, hand instruments to surgeons during procedures, and maintain patient safety. Throughout the day, precision, attention to detail, and teamwork are paramount in providing quality patient care. As a Surgical Technologist for the Endoscopy unit, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:

Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program preferred NBSTA or NCCT, but not required.
